This is a riddle. The first thing that is funny about it is the setup. There are a large number of differences between a tv and a newspaper, so asking for one difference, and calling it "the" difference between a TV and a newspaper is pretty absurd.

The supposed answer is also pretty absurd. It is highly unlikely that a TV has ever been used to swat anything - it is not at all the correct shape to even make the attempt.

As far as stupid riddles go, this one is pretty good.
