A man asks a farmer near a field,

A man asks a farmer near a field, “Sorry sir, would you mind if I crossed your field instead of going around it? You see, I have to catch the 4:23 train.”The farmer says, “Sure, go right ahead. And if my bull sees you, you’ll even catch the 4:11 one.”

This joke is a little hard to explain. In this joke, the farmer's "yes, go right ahead" indicates that he is a nice person that doesn't mind if the other man uses his field, but he then continues on to warn the person about his bull in what might be a threatening manner (and if it is not threatening, it is at least indifferent to the other person's danger).

The change from nice to threatening/indifferent is the funny part of the joke.
